In 1978, Patio & Interiors was founded in the semi-tropical resort
area defined by the Gulf of Mexico location known as Corpus Christi,
Texas. Yvonne Babbitt visualized home furnishings accenting the laid
back, resort style living possible on the coast and the adaptability
of casual furnishings for use in condominiums and waterside homes.
At the time there was an opportunity to develop an outlet for high
quality porch and patio furnishings suited for extended use in the
highly corrosive environment of this South Texas area. The store specializes in rattan and wicker furnishings for both indoor and outdoor living featuring specialty rattan and wicker suppliers for indoor like Lane/Venture and Braxton Culler who offer a more traditional upholstered look. The outdoors suppliers are selected on the basis of the demonstrated value of their manufactures warranty and the durability against Patio & Interiors also carries the largest selection of barstools
in the area as well as a variety of salt water related nautical
accessories for decorating.
